detox wrap

yikes, this is a large picture.

my dear friend, tatiana, made these rabbit’s wraps and posted about them. i have to admit, when another one of my friends recommended to make these as an appetizer i was a little afraid. random ingredients, mostly from the deli/premade section of whole foods, i felt like it was something i’d put together if i was super hung over one day and had free reign in the grocery store. meaning, if my brain were not working. i was dead wrong – the flavors in the wraps are something only christine from master chef could generate #blindgenious. these guys are tangy and sweet with an asian zing. something i will make every time i go to whole foods.

tati’s detox wraps (for 3)

1/2 bunch collard greens, stems removed, each half makes a wrap

3 sesame tofu squares from behind the glass in the premade section of whole foods (i wish i had bought 4 – yum)

1 avocado, sliced


2 carrots, shredded

1/2 cup edamame beans (i bought the preshelled ones from the salad bar @ whole foods)

premade quinoa salad from the refrigerator section (i bought the mango/currant flavored)

a bit of rice vinegar

1. spread a tablespoon of hummus on half a collard green leaf.

2. pile quinoa, tofu, carrots, edamame, and avocado.

3. drizzle with a touch of rice vinegar and eat that mother like a taco.

  1. I admit I was 100% skeptical before making them as well (all the credit goes to my sister)…but they are a great find once you take the plunge. Also, you can basically experiment with any kind of filling you like. I’m obsessed. Glad you enjoyed them!
