my name is wendy. i am a twenty five year old living in san francisco where we act and play like we are living in sunny california.
baking was my very first love. one of the first things that had a permanent place in my kitchen was a spring-form pan. the multifaceted recipe and patience it takes to make a cheesecake is the epitome of why i love to cook. It pulls me away from everything in the world and for a moment, it is just me and my kitchen (and the person sitting on the couch waiting to eat).
my mom is from the midwest and grew up in iowa on her grandfather’s farm. upon moving out to california she brought with her a love for the whole food and bestowed it upon her children. this is where my devotion to good food began.
on a daily basis i strive to be a perfect vegan, but i have a true dark place where i keep my desserts and cheeses. they come out to play more often than not and are my true demise.
